I believe that photography is about more than simply capturing the moment.  It's about capturing the essence of the moment--the truth in your eyes, the feeling in the air, the light and the shadow and the beauty in all things.  I approach photography as a designer.  I hold a degree in landscape architecture and spent many years in practice honing my skills with form, color and composition, the backbone of all design, from gardens to photography.

I've also owned a successful wedding planning company (click here for some of my favorite tips on planning your wedding) in South Florida, and as a wedding industry veteran, I bring a unique approach to the art, a keenly editorial perspective, an eye for detail, a talent for styling and a complete understanding of the swift pace of a wedding day.  I treat every wedding as if it were my own, what's important to you is important to me.

My husband, Bill, and I moved to Seattle with our two Yorkies, Rocky Balboa and Coco Chanel almost two years ago, and we are happy to call this amazing city home.  We spend our time exploring the city's beautiful parks, eclectic neighborhoods and delicious restaurants, wineries and brew houses, with our cameras in tow.  We share a love for photography and Bill often accompanies me as my second shooter for weddings and engagement shoots.

My style of photography can be described as a combination of documentary and styled.  I work to photograph everything that happens - I love to capture emotions & interactions between people, and always try to incorporate the environment into my photos.  Creating photos that are simply beautiful is also very important to me.  I take control when needed to make sure that the light or other elements are all the best they can be.  I love natural light, timeless style, outdoor celebrations, smiling eyes and a sense of humor.  Photography is like magic and I've found that there is nothing quite as sweet as turning life into art, as there is beauty in everything.
